Newtown/Monroe Chambers Host 5th Annual Golf Tournament And Business After Hours

The Newtown and Monroe Chambers of Commerce will host their 5th Annual Golf Outing sponsored by Union Savings Bank on Wednesday, October 3rd at Whitney Farms Golf Course, 175 Shelton Road in Monroe.

Building on the success of last year’s event, the business support from Chamber members has been outstanding. 

This year's event’s agenda is filled with enjoyable activities, taking place on the gorgeous property of Whitney Farms Golf Course. Golfers can participate with groups up to 4 players, or as individuals in the 18-hole tournament. Golfers will benefit from free use of the driving range. Beverages and an enjoyable lunch, sponsored by Bagel Delight, will be provided on a golf cart during the day. Non-golfers can attend the Business After Hours, which begins with cocktails at 4:30 p.m., dinner at 5:30 p.m., and includes a live auction. Awards and prizes will be distributed for first, second, closest to the line, closest to the pin, and longest drive for both men and women. A $10,000 cash prize will be awarded to a golfer who hits a hole in one on a particular hole.

Registration is open to the public. Entry fees are $150 per person and include lunch, greens fees and admittance to the Business After Hours. Non-golfers are encouraged to attend at the Business After Hours for $50 per person.  Reservations and pre-payment are required for golf and lunch.
