Did you know ...

The kids are home from school. The snow is super heavy — and, if you're like me, the idea of shoveling it is not really all that appealing right now.

So here we are sitting in the comfort of our homes, staring out at the beautiful snow wondering what's going on out there in town.

Is my favorite bagel shop open? Is my elderly neighbor up the street OK, or does anyone need a helping hand from a neighbor? Has your road been plowed yet?

Because one of the things we like to do at Patch is connect neighbors and help people out, I've created this space for everyone to weigh in ... a community forum, if you will.

And don't feel limited to the questions above. Maybe you are making something awesome to eat and you want to share what it is with everyone. Perhaps you are looking for ideas of activities to do with your kids today, or just have to tell everyone that there's a CSI marathon on TV today (isn't that everyday?)

So, what's going on with you and your neighborhood?

I was reminded with a little "waltz" step under a bridge to watch for black ice in the protected spots even on a mild day.
