Call it history in the making for an historic structure.
For the first time in about 50 years, the cupola atop Newtown's Edmund Town Hall is being restored. Torrington-based Valley Restoration is performing the work, which will eventually culminate with the gilding — when a new layer of 23-carat gold is wrapped around a portion of the cupola.
