Have You Got Your Dog Licensed Yet?

June is dog licensing month in Newtown.

June is drawing to a close and so time is running out to get your pooch registered. All Newton dogs six months or older must be licensed annually during June.

The fees are $8.00 for a neutered male or spayed female and $19.00 for unaltered dogs.

The State of Connecticut requires that all dogs must have Rabies vaccinations and so when licensing a dog owners must present a current Rabies vaccination certificate, not the tag. If licensing a dog for the first time, it is necessary to present the spaying or neutering certificate to obtain the lower license fee.
