Why Go: Police Explorers will hold a haunted house, games and other fun for young children, 5-years-old and up.

Pricing: $2, person/$5, family.

3. - Newtown
Where/When: 109 Lonetown Rd, West Redding, 12pm, noon
Why Go: Enjoy an afternoon of golf and dinner later while raising money for popular Newtown resident Dave Delia and his family. Delia is battling brain cancer
Pricing: $175/$75 (dinner only)

4. - Newtown
Where/When: 65 Great Hill Road, 1pm, Sat
Why Go: Go on a guided hike to one of the highest points in town and learn more about the Newtown Forest Association.
Pricing: Free

5. - Newtown
Where/When: , 7pm, Sat
Why Go: Bring five items in good condition from your home and pick up five items in return. Also will have games, snacks, 50-50, raffle and entertainment. Proceeds to benefit hospice.

Why Go: Here's a chance to listen to an acclaimed cellist from the New York Philharmonic.

Why Go: Hideaway hosts another weekend of music.

Why Go: A Celtic, Americana, bluegrass and folk singer and band headlines the final in a series of outdoor music at the vineyards.

9. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (PG-13) - Newtown

Why Go: This will be the second week that this movie will be shown at Edmond, so catch it while you can.

I goggled the Connecticut Council on Freedom of Information and they are indeed nothing more than a non-profit group. They are not a government agency. And an inept one - their own website is a mess. Town Clerk Aurelia is already causing the town to needlessly spend money defending her derelictionRead More of duty: "An attorney representing the town, with the law firm Cohen and Wolf, issued an opinion in response to the, (New York), Post's request stating that the public is only allowed to view death and marriage certificates that are "at least one hundred years old." Cost aside she is pushing for a state law that would restrict access to a minors birth certificate for 6 months, she originally wanted them sealed for 10 years. The only thing the proposed law is going to accomplish is the healing that has been accomplished is going to be undone when the seal expires.
