Along with much of the rest of Connecticut, Newtown experienced some intense fog this afternoon, slowing commutes and dropping visibility to nearly 1/10 of a mile in some areas.

Gov. Dannel Malloy even issued a statement about the fog this afternoon, asking commuters to use caution driving in the "widespread dense fog ... currently blanketing the state."
