The Discovery Zone To Offer Preschool Program

MONROE, CT - The Discovery Zone at Webb Mountain is very pleased to announce that it is offering “Discovering Spring”, a preschool program for four and five year olds and their parents or caregivers beginning in late March!   The addition of the weekly preschool program to the Discovery Zone’s existing school field trips, birthdays and special events and programs supports our goal to introduce nature to children at an early age, so its benefits will last a lifetime.

Offered at 2pm on both Tuesdays and Thursdays, each weekly hour long program will feature a story and craft at the Discovery Zone outdoor classroom and a walk along the trails tying in the day’s theme.

Tom Ellbogen, Director of the Discovery Zone stated:  “We are committed to making young children’s initial encounter with nature a fun, positive experience.  Studies show that being out in nature at an early age offers unsurpassed opportunities for mental, emotional and physical growth and we believe our rich and varied ecosystem provides the perfect platform to offer children a stimulating and memorable experience, with important long-term impacts.”
