Bailey Is Lost In The Snow. Help His Family Find Him.

Newtown Patch received multiple messages on Facebook today about a Sandy Hook dog lost in the snow tonight. Newtowners, please keep an eye out for this dog and let's try to bring him home tonight:

His name is Bailey, he's from Pearl Street in Sandy Hook, he's been missing since last night, the owners last saw him this morning at 8:15am on Walnut Tree then crossed Glenn Rd and turned onto Pootatuck Park Rd. Animal control knows he's missing and are on the lookout as well. It's cold and my heart breaks.

Bailey is nine years old. If you see him, call the Pearson family at 203-837-7271 or let us know in the comments.

He was on Bridge End Farm heading into Shady Rest at 7:00 am. Very fast and skittish. I would recommend calling owner and keeping an eye on him.

Thanks for sharing, AHM. I drove around Shady Rest earlier hoping to spot Bailey. A few others were also looking. I hope he is found safe soon.

Bailey is still on the run:( Our hearts are breaking but we are not giving up on him. He's been spotted every day and he looks good:) He is very skittish, very scared and is probably getting very tired. PLEASE DO NOT APPROACH BAILEY. HE WILL ONLY RUN. DO NOT CALL HIS NAME, DO NOT MAKE EYE CONTACT.....just call us and let us know where you saw him. We truly appreciate all the support we've been receiving. It truly is Nicer in Newtown!

I will say a prayer to St. Francis: "Something's lost, it must be found, PLEASE look around!" Peace Dear Bailey, come home healthy and safely very soon to your loving family! +

Hope the owners don't have the dog trackers come looking for the dog. Praying this dog gets home, it's so cold out. :(

Please tell Bailey's family to go to Granite State Dog Recovery's page on Facebook and fill out a missing dog form for him. They will help immensely with posters, instructions on how to catch a scared dog, volunteers, sharing, etc.
