Apawamis Club Golf Day to Benefit Sandy Hook Memorial

Event will take place on September 16th.

“The setting: beyond compare; the benefit: beyond measure,” is how The Apawamis Golf Club in Rye, NY, describes its benefit to raise money for a permanent memorial to the Sandy Hook tragedy in Newtown.

The event will take place on September 16. Registration opens at 9 a.m. and the day will end with dinner and awards at 4:30 p.m. There will also be access to the driving range, golf contests, raffles and a silent auction.

This will be the 8th year Shemin Landscaping will host the annual golf benefit. This year, proceeds will go towards The Sandy Hook Permanent Memorial Commission, whose mission is “to make a recommendation to the Board of Selectmen for Permanent Memorial that remembers, honors and celebrates those 26 who died as a result of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting and serves to provide comfort to those who loved and were touched by them.”
