Pop Artist Michael Alpert to Visit HealingNewtown
Renowned pop artist Michael Alpert will be joining Joy Hoffmann at her Joy of Art Class November 20, 2-3 pm and 4-5 pm, at HealingNewtown, Newtown Congregational Church, 14 West Street. Newtown, CT. (Access HealingNewtown.org/calendar to reserve your place for this workshop.)
Known for his cereal mosaic cereal box collages, Mr. Alpert ((http://www.michaelalbert.com/) will be encouraging the participants to get creative, “in his special way.” He’ll be showing examples of his collages made from the packaging of famous consumer brands such as cereal boxes, cookies, tea, crackers, and will lead everyone to in creating their own collages. At the end of the program, all participants will receive a free signed print of one of Albert’s works.
