NY Islanders "Courier of Courage" Program

Many youths across Long Island, New York City and all states surrounding the area, have experienced a hardship in their life.  Despite life’s struggles these children have overcome obstacles to get them to the place they are today.  The “Courier of Courage” Program gives these children an experience where they are acknowledged for the battles they faced and the hardships they have overcome.  The NY Islanders thought that there are some very courageous children from Newtown. Throughout the Islanders 2013-2014 season the “Courier of Courage” will deliver the game puck to the NHL officials directly before select Islanders home games in an on ice presentation.  These special guests will be escorted to the ice by an ambassador to youth hockey on Long Island a member of the PAL- Junior Islanders youth hockey organization.  Following the presentation these special guests will be invited to watch the NHL game to follow. The “Courier of Courage” will receive four (4) tickets to each select game. The PAL- Junior Islanders Youth Hockey Ambassador will receive two (2) tickets to each select game.  Please respond to this message if you have any recommendations for this program. Thank you
