Newtown Youth Academy (NYA) Sports & Fitness Center has a refreshed logo

Newtown Youth Academy (NYA) Sports & Fitness Center has a refreshed logo, featuring a modernized design and new color palate. The updated logo will launch on the NYA Sports & Fitness Center website this week, and will appear more widely in the company's marketing leading up to the organization's fifth anniversary, this fall.

On November 1, 2008, the Newtown Youth Academy (NYA) opened its doors as a not-for-profit sports facility dedicated to the health and well being of Newtown's youth and families.  The NYA, founded by entrepreneur Peter D'Amico, was the first private enterprise built on the rural hills of Newtown, CT's Fairfield Hills Campus, located off I-84 exit 11.

In 2010, the Newtown Youth Academy (NYA) began doing business as NYA Sports & Fitness Center, to better identify itself with recreational sports. As such, the first brand evolution included a slight modification to the NYA logo.

Today, the new logo will reflect what the organization provides to Newtown and surrounding area residents of all ages. It symbolizes the inspiration the NYA brings to the community to self motivate, seek and achieve their personal health, fitness, and general well being goals.

In this logo, asymmetry maintains the NYA's youthful presence; while the victory icon represents the "everyman" served by NYA's affordable and sponsored programming.
