Newtown Choral Society to Premier “It’s Christmas in Newtown”

The Newtown Choral society will be premiering “It’s Christmas in Newtown,” by local composer Phil Crevier at their winter concert on Sunday, December 8, 3:30 pm at The Meeting House.  The concert, “Home for the Holidays,” will also feature Bethel resident Dan Coffman’s “Ave Maria.”

Under the direction of Mary Andreotta, and accompanied by Susan Anthony-Klein, the program will include Irving Berlin’s “Snow” and “White Christmas,” as well as selections from John Williams’ score for “Home Alone,”  excerpts from “Charlie Brown’s Christmas,” and “There’s No Place like Home for the Holidays.”

Pieces from John Rutter and Gustav Holst will be presented as well as two Alfred Burt Carols.
