Gun Violence Panel at Trinity Episcopal This Thursday
The public is invited to a free forum on solutions to gun violence this Thursday, June 20, from 7 to 8:30 pm at Trinity Episcopal Church in Southport. Four panelists will offer their suggestions for solutions. The audience will be encouraged to submit questions and comments. The panel is hosted by Trinity Against Gun Violence and is non-partisan and non-denominational.

Meg Felton Staunton – Co-founder of the grassroots organization March for Change, which helped galvanize support for Conn.’s new gun laws
Dawn Roy - LCSW, ACS, Licensed mental health clinician and adjunct professor at the graduate school of Southern Connecticut State University. Ms. Roy has done therapeutic counseling in Newtown and is a Mental First Aid instructor.
The panel will be moderated by the Rt. Rev. Laura J. Ahrens, Bishop Suffragan of the Episcopal Diocese of Connecticut.
Trinity Against Gun Violence advocates education and gun safety, particularly when it involves children. They do not offer judgments about gun ownership but rather hope to advance firearm safety through education, example and effort.
