Bring Avalanche Home

What would you do if a loved one went missing? Would you spend hours searching, sleepless nights thinking, and tireless days hoping?

After one month, Megan is still searching for the missing piece of her family.

Meet Avalanche, the friendly therapy dog in-training, who was last seen getting into a car near Masonicare in Sandy Hook.

Avalanche somehow escaped from his home on Thursday, July 18th. A witness saw him get into an unidentified vehicle, but the trail has gone cold. Since then, Megan and others in the Find Avalanche in Sandy Hook Facebook group have been tirelessly posting flyers, sharing his picture, and begging for help.

“I have raised him since he was 7 weeks old and have known him since he was 3 weeks old. Please find it in your heart to contact me. Just let me know he is safe and we can go from there,” Megan writes, reaching out to the individual or family who may still have Avalanche.

There is a cash reward for the safe return of Avalanche. Though he has been missing over a month, Megan is still keeping up her positivity.

“I will pay for any costs that were incurred by this along with extra compensation,” she writes. “I just want [Avalanche] back home. He is missed. I worry about him every night. Imagine someone you care about just disappearing out of the blue one day and not knowing if that person is safe or not. I won't press charges I won't ask any questions. Please just contact me so we can work this out.”
