Charter crews working to restore services after storm damage
Hurricane Sandy came ashore Monday, hitting New England and leaving many Charter customers without power and subsequently without Charter services.
Charter is working closely with the power companies to coordinate its service repair work with the utility’s power restoration efforts. Charter’s repair efforts follow closely once trees, debris and safety hazards including downed power lines are cleared.
“We have identified more than 430 damaged cable lines and are making good progress in repairs,” said Greg Garabedian, Vice President and General Manager for Charter’s operations in New England. “As damaged areas become accessible and are safe to work in, our restoration efforts will continue into those areas.”
“Our crews are out there, working safely and diligently to restore services for our customers. It is too soon to precisely estimate when we’ll have services restored, but we will provide an update as soon as possible,” Mr. Garabedian added.
