GFWC/CT MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
Scholarships are again being offered by the Newtown Woman’s Club, GFWC, Inc. to qualified women who are currently in either an undergraduate or master’s program.
There is a December 31, 2012 deadline for requesting an application for the following statewide scholarships:
The Phipps Memorial Scholarship, created in 1926 to help deserving students further their education. Applicants must have completed two or more years of undergraduate work with a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
The Dorothy E. Schoelzel Scholarship, first awarded in 1967 to assist women in the field of education. Applicants must have completed three of more years of undergraduate work with a grade point average of 3.0 or higher, and are pursuing a degree in the field of education at an accredited institution.
