Cannon Ridge Training Center located at 3 Simm Lane in Newtown, CT is a 6500ft facility focusing on self-defense, fitness, and intelligence training. We offer classes in Israeli Krav Maga Self-Defense, Conditioning Bootcamp, Cardio Kickboxing as well as Personal Training. We are excited to tell you about a program we are running for all teachers in the area.
From now until the end of this school year we are offering Israeli Krav Maga Self-Defense classes to all teachers in Connecticut at NO CHARGE!
What is Israeli Krav Maga? Krav Maga is the hand-to-hand self-defense & fitness system originally developed for use by the Israeli Defense Forces. Israeli Krav Maga is designed to prepare you to prevail against any type of violent street confrontation or eventuality. Defensive tactics include defending against an assailant wielding an edged weapon, impact weapon or a firearm and multiple opponent attacks. The Israeli Krav Maga system uses practical applications which can be practiced by anyone, regardless of size or strength. Krav Maga has been tested and proven to be the most effective defense system on the planet. This style of training does not require a uniform nor do we train barefoot like many traditional martial arts. We train on a rubber surface in casual gym clothes and sneakers. We do the best to replicate real life scenarios.
CRTC’s Krav Maga program consists of one hour and fifteen minute classes and is offered on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursday evenings at 6:30pm. Tuesday & Thursday mornings at 9am and Saturdays at 10am. Use of our comfortable lounge, free Wi-Fi. and shower facilities is also available.
Owner and Certified Israeli Krav Maga Association instructor, Chris Petitti has spent the last thirteen years providing executive protection security for some of the most well known political and business leaders as well as their children. I feel that the Krav Maga system best improves one’s overall strength, hand-eye coordination and improves situational performance readiness.
We feel with the events that have transpired recently we at CRTC need to do our best to help the teachers in our community feel more self confident in their return to their work environment in the future.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact us or come by our facility for a tour and demonstration. We are asking teachers to register for this program by February 8th so that we can prepare our staff for the additional students throughout the rest of the school year.
