The Western Connecticut Baseball Academy, which operates its programs out of Newtown Youth Academy in Newtown, CT, has several exciting upcoming programs for the spring baseball season.
The WCBA Battery Workshop will run on Tuesday evenings from March 29th to April 19th from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm. This four week workshop, for players ages nine to thirteen, will focus solely on the finer points of pitching and catching. Instructors will break down the mechanics of both skills to give both pitchers and catchers the proper techniques needed to improve. The Battery Workshop will not only stress the physical aspects of baseball, but will also focus on the mental part of the game as well. Cost of the Battery Workshop is $99 and players can register on the WCBA website at: www.wcbanewtown.com.
As the weather turns warm, register for the WCBA Spring Break Baseball Camp at NYA! Dan McNamara, General Manager of the Western Connecticut Baseball Academy is excited about the change in weather and the start of spring. "Now is the best time to start preparing for the upcoming baseball season. Spring is here and there’s no better way to make sure players have a successful baseball year than to get in shape and train at our workshops, camps, and through private baseball instruction."
