Robert the Guitar Guy: Newtown's Summer Jam series continues with a concert from Robert Markowitz, who performs as Robert the Guitar Guy. Fun and educational, it's the latest in the series running until August 7 at Dickinson Park. Starts 12:30 p.m.

Malloy Visits Sandy Hook: Hosted by First Selectman Pat Llodra, Gov. Dannel Malloy will speak with business owners in Sandy Hook to get a sense of the state of economy in the neighborhood. Begins at 11:00 a.m. in the United Methodist Church parking lot.

Bach 2 Rock: Violinist Caryn Lin starts with a Bach minuet on an acoustic violin, then goes electric, incorporating looping and sound effects to demonstrate the magical sounds of the beloved instrument. Great for kids. Starts at 7:00 p.m. at C.H. Booth Library.

Mother Goose on the Loose: Babies from birth to 24 months can have fun and learn rhythm, movement and music in this interactive program at C.H. Booth Library. Starts at 10:00 a.m.

The Great Gatsby: This week's film at Edmond Town Hall, the adaptation of Fitzgerald's classic, is showing through Thursday. Showtimes at 7:00 p.m.
