Video: Firefighters Put Out Newtown Barn, House Fire
Firefighters are called to Main Street in Newtown for a barn and house fire.
Firefighters from Newtown and surrounding areas, including Southbury were called to a Newtown barn fire on Main Street, which extended to a two-family house before being extinguished. No one was injured but the barn at 46 Main St. burned to the ground and the house at 4 East St. is heavily damaged. Two families, consisting of six people, have been displaced.
