Real Estate Agents Launch 'Deals Around Town'
Agents create website, which offers local businesses a platform to market their products and services, as a way to differentiate themselves and support business owners.
A Coldwell Banker real estate agent and two colleagues recently launched a website called Deals Around Town designed to connect customers with local small businesses while allowing owners of those establishments to market their products and services online free of charge.
Andy Sachs said the idea is part of "The Around Town Team," an intiative intended to add value to the real estate process for consumers and support local small businesses.
In pursuit of that goal, he said, the related website, dealsaroundtown.com, features video of small business owners from Demitasse Cafe, Newtown Color Center, PJ's Laundromat, Fun Kuts for the Whole Family, Sandy Hook Hair Co., Fashion Exchange shop and others talking about their businesses. In addition, the site offers coupons for products and services for some of those businesses and others in town.
