The following information was supplied by the Newtown police department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.
Button Shop Road: An Acura, operated by Henry W. Erickson, 24, of Kelly Court, lost control as it attempted to turn right onto Little Brook Lane from Button Shop Road and crashed into a tree at about 11:15 p.m., Thurs., Feb. 9, police said. Police said the crash remains under investigation. Erickson was taken to Danbury Hospital with unspecified injuries.
Meadow Brook Road: William Thomas Lee, 40, of Field Rock Road, Monroe, was charged with driving under the influence, traveling fast and failure to wear a seat belt following a motor vehicle stop on Meadow Brook Road at about 5 p.m., Tues., Feb. 14, police said. He was additionally found to be wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant, police said. As a result, he also was charged with two counts of second-degree larceny in connection with a case dating to Nov. 5, 2011, police said. He was released on $5,100 and is to appear Feb. 29 in state Superior Court in Danbury.
Queen Street: A Toyota Yaris, operated by Gabriel Barbara, 23, of Briar Ridge Drive, Bethel, collided with a GMC Donali, operated by Donald Bashak, 56, of Bennetts Bridge Road, on Queen Street at about 8 p.m., Tues., Feb. 14, police said. Police reported no injuries. Barbara was issued an infraction for failure to obey stop sign.

Swamp Road: Justin Lurix, 33, of Pastors Walk Road, was issued an infraction for littering and traveling fast, which carries a combined fine of $360, after he was observed throwing items from his vehicle in the area of 9 Swamp Road at about 3 p.m., Sat., Feb. 11, police said.
Taunton Lake Road: Copper downspouts were taken off a house on Taunton Lake Road sometime between Feb. 11 and Feb.12, police said. Contact police with any information.
