Police Blotter, April 4 - 7, 2011

Borough Lane: Gary A. Fetzer, 55, of Sugar Street, was charged with operating a motor vehicle with suspended registration, failure to meet minimum insurance requirements, failure to carry an operator’s license and failure to have tail lights in connection with a motor vehicle stop on Borough Lane at about 8:10 p.m., Monday, police said. He was released on a promise to appear in state Superior Court in Danbury on April 20.

Church Hill Road: Alexjandro G. Lima, 21, of Grace Court, Bethel, was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, failure to wear a seat belt in the front seat and failure to return a suspended license following a motor vehicle stop on 80 Church Hill Road at about 5:40 p.m., Tuesday, police said. He was released on a promise to appear April 20 in state Superior Court in Danbury.

Church Hill Road: A Toyota Camry, operated by Michael P. Hill, 20, of West Street, that was attempting to turn out of 20 Church Hill Road collided with a Nissan pickup, operated by Karl E. Phillippi, 61, of Swamp Road, at about 2:10 p.m., Tuesday, police said. Police reported no injuries. Hill was issued an infraction for failure to grant right of way.

Church Hill Road: A Chrysler town car, operated by Cynthia M. Stierle, Forest View Drive, collided with a Honda Accord, operated by Amina S. Blake, 26, of Del Terrace, Meriden, at about 3:45 p.m., Thursday as both attempted to back out of spaces in the parking lot of 34 Church Hill Road, police said. Police reported no injuries.

Church Hill Road: A Chevrolet van, operated by Farah E. Ehab, 46, of Asford Lane, collided with a Honda Civic, operated by Michael Feda, 23, of Woodcrest Lane, Danbury, in the parking lot of 61 Church Hill Road as both were attempting to back out of the parking lot at about 12:40 p.m., Thursday, police said. Police reported no injuries.

Dickinson Drive: A Nissan Altima, operated by Alexander H. Dahlmeyer, 21, of Sunnyview Terrace, spun out of control while turning onto Dickinson Drive from Riverside Road at about 4:40 p.m., Wednesday, police said. Police reported no injuries. Dahlmeyer was issued an infraction for restricted turn.

High Bridge Road: Dora J. Ballard, 48, of Avalon Way, Sandy Hook, was issued a misdemeanor summons for traveling fast, operating a motor vehicle with suspended registration and failure to carry a license following a motor vehicle stop in front of 42 High Bridge Road at about 7:40 p.m., Monday, police said. He was released on a promise to appear April 18 in state Superior Court in Danbury.

Main Street (police department): Kenneth A. Vaiuso, 47, of Waterview Drive, was charged with failure to respond to infraction and two counts of failure to comply with dog ownership requirements after he appeared at the police department to turn himself in on a warrant at about 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, police said. He was released on $150 bond and is to appear April 19 in state Superior Court in Danbury.

Main Street (police department): Neil Heslin, 48, of Poplar Drive, Shelton, was charged with issuing a bad check in connection with boarding a horse in Newtown on Jan. 19, police said. He appeared at the police department Monday to turn himself in an arrest warrant, police said. He was released on a promise to appear April 19 in state Superior Court in Danbury.

Main Street (police department): Andrew M. Cabral, 23, of Huntingtown Road, was charged with second-degree failure to appear and possession of a drug after he appeared at the police department to turn himself in on a warrant at about 10:30 a.m., Tuesday at the police department, officials said. He was released on $500 bond and is to appear April 19 in state Superior Court in Manchester.

Main Street (police department): Kristen M. Hammond, 44, of Oak Ridge Drive, was charged with failure to respond to an infraction, allowing a dog to roam and unlicensed dog after she appeared at the police department to turn herself in on an outstanding warrant at about 2:25 p.m., Thursday, police said. She was released on $167 bond and is to appear April 21 in state Superior Court in Danbury.

South Main Street: A Toyota Corolla, operated by Christopher Farrington, 31, of Whipporwill Hill Road, struck a deer at about 7:15 p.m., Monday on South Main Street and Appleblossom Road, police said. The deer ran off and there were no injuries, police said.

South Main Street: A Chrysler sedan, operated by Maria Horvath, 49, of South Main Street, rear-ended a Honda Accord, operated by Francis McNellis, 77, of Bryan Lane, at about 5:10 p.m., Thursday, police said. Police reported no injuries. Horvath received a written warning for following too closely, police said.

Taunton Hill Road: Jesse E. Meyer, 35, of Taunton Hill Road, was charged with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct and interfering with an officer in connection with a domestic dispute at about 11:45 p.m., Thursday, police said. He was held on $500 bond and was to appear Friday in state Superior Court in Danbury.

Queen Street: Susan A. Kunz was charged with larceny, criminal impersonation and interfering with an officer following a shoplifting incident at about 4 p.m., Wednesday at the Big Y supermarket, police said. Kunz allegedly took store merchandise without paying for it and then provided police with false identification, officials said. She was released on $100 bond and is to appear April 20 in state Superior Court in Danbury.
