Boys Soccer Keeps Rolling With Season Record Win
The Newtown boys soccer team moves to 9-1-2 with a one sided victory against Kolbe.
Coming into Monday's game against Kolbe Cathedral, the stingy Nighthawks defense had not yielded a goal in three consecutive games.
By the end of the night, not only was that streak extended to four games, but the offense exploded in a 6-0 victory.
Steve Jarvis opened the scoring early in the first half on an assist from Nick Barreto, who then followed with his own goal a few minutes later. Drew Sullivan and Pat Riccardi tacked on goals 3 and 4 before Charlie Helgren closed the first half scoring with a breakaway goal.
